Lampshades needing some loving

Hey guys, look what I found at the Londonderry Junkyard near Sydney on the Easter weekend.

I love the unique shapes of them – and working out how I can recreate their beauty. I can’t wait to give these lampshades & lamp base a ‘rosy refurb’. I picked these up a little worse for wear, but at a great price!

If you’d like to re-cover an old lampshade, the best place to source your lamp frames or bases are at junkyards, Salvos, Vinnies or the like.

If you’d like to learn how to cover a lampshade, Oh Sew Rosy teach classes regularly. Take a look here.

I’ve also recently updated two matching lampshades – taking them from 80’s to Now. I’ll post pics and tutorial in the next week or so – subscribe to our Blog to make sure you receive all the tutorials, tips and fresh ideas.

Anyone else loving lampshades and transforming them from daggy to modern beautiful?
